**** The U.S. Virgin Islands Powerlifting Federation (USVIPF) is committed to the worldwide movement for doping-free sport. As a condition of membership, all USVIPF members (to include athletes, referees, and athlete support personnel such as coach, trainer, manager, team staff, official, medical or paramedical personnel ) shall agree to be bound, without exception, to the IPF Anti-Doping Rules as well the WADA Code and all affiliated WADA guidelines,policies and protocols.

The USVIPF mission includes eradicating the use of prohibited substances and methods (as described in the WADA code and all associated WADA guidelines, practices, and policies) from powerlifting in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As such, all members of the USVIPF , by virtue of membership, are also agreeing to submit to periodic drug testing, either at a sanctioned IPF, IPF Affiliate Nation, or USVI Powerlifting federation meet,  or on a "no notice" out of competition basis.****

          • CAS - is an institution independent of any sports organization which provides for servic­es in order to facilitate the settlement of sports-related disputes through arbitration or mediation by means of procedural rules adapted to the­ specific needs of the sports world. 
          • The CAS has the task of resolving legal disputes in the field of sport through arbitration. It does this pronouncing arbitral awards that have the same enforceability as judgements of ordinary ­courts.
          • Lastly, the CAS sets up non-permanent tribunals, which it does for the Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games or other similar major events. To take into account the circumstances of such events, special procedural rules are established on each occasion.
          • It can also help parties solve their disputes on an amicable basis through mediation, when this procedure is allowed.

  • ADEL - WADA's Anti-Doping Education and Learning platform Via the new ADEL platform, WADA will provide education and learning opportunities for the anti-doping community worldwide; including: athletes, coaches, parents, medical professionals and more. Additionally, on ADEL, anti-doping practitioners will be able to find learning opportunities to help them carry out their roles; and, resources to support development of their anti-doping programs. - Source: WADA ADeL website
    • ADEL program has been rebranded and relaunched as of 2021. The new platform and the education content will be fully responsive to allow users to learn via desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. You can also access learning offline via the mobile app ADEL by WADA. 
      • **Note for USVIPF athletes - it's important when you register you ADEL account that you list the following information:

  • ADAMS -  Anti-Doping Administration & Management System (ADAMS) -  is a clearinghouse where all data can be stored, in particular laboratory resultsTherapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and information on Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs).
  • Athlete Central aka "Next Gen ADAMS" app - is an app that facilitates athlete compliance with WADA whereabouts rules associated with WADA signatory RTP requirements. It is a secure and cost-free, web-based system that centralizes doping control-related information such as athlete whereabouts, testing history, laboratory results, the Athlete Biological Passport, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and information on Anti-Doping Rule Violations.
  • Anti-doping Statistics - all 2017 tests analyzed by WADA-accredited laboratories, including in- and out-of-competition urine, blood and blood Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) data. Additionally, the Anti doping Rules Violations (ADRV) reports illustrates the outcomes (including ADRVs) of all Adverse Analytical Findings (AAFs), along with all ADRV's that resulted   from non-analytical findings.
  • WADA Code Signatories -  list of sports organizations worldwide who have accepted the Code (including the IPF)
  •  Independent Observer Program - randomly monitoring and reporting on all phases of the doping control and results               management processes.                 
  •  Intelligence and Investigations - play a critical role in fighting antidoping gathering insights, intelligence and information  followed by a rigorous investigative approach is how WADA will catch more of those who attempt to undermine  the values of fair play and sportsmanship.
  • International Standards and Testing Investigations - plan for effective testing and to maintain the integrity and identity of samples, from notifying the athlete to transporting samples for analysis. The ISTI provides guidelines for every aspect of athlete testing to include collection, management, registered testing pool, whereabouts, and appeal process for adverse results.
  • Legal - provides information on case law related to decisions by the Court of Arbitration and Sport (CAS) where WADA was a party or links to website providing decision from other antidoping organizations. Additionally, the  "Legal opinions and articles sections you will find legal opinion and articles written about the WADA Code and its application 
  • Model Rules, Guidelines, and Protocols - WADA developed Model Rules to assist these organizations in drafting anti-doping rules in line with the World Anti-Doping Code. Guidelines to provide signatories with recommended practices or several aspects of anti-doping programming. Protocol pertaining to Article 5.7.1 of the 2015 WADA Code 
  • Science & Medical - provides information on resources to scientific events and articles related to antidoping testing and analysis, as well as exploring,specific scientific issues pertaining to the identification and detection of doping substances and practices.

  • WADA Education & Prevention - World Anti-Doping Agency offers many different tools to assist stakeholders with their education programs and help them educate target groups with suitable activities. There are tool kits of activities  customized for Coaches, Teachers, Program Officers and Sport Physicians, and many different brochures providing anti-doping information. Also, WADA has created interactive computer games such as the Play True Quiz and Play True Youth Quiz, and other tools such as card games. Books and videos exploring numerous subjects related to the fight against doping in sport are also available.
  • You may report any alleged Anti-Doping Rule Violation or any act or omission that could undermine the fight against doping. 
  • Anyone can report a doping misconduct. If you have detected, identified, witnessed or know of, or have reasonable grounds for suspecting that cheating has occurred, we encourage you to let us know by opening a mailbox. 
  • If you have information on bribery, corruption or any other allegation that does not involve doping, please report your information through the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
